Softie Networking Event

I have known Kathy Weltman for probably a year now, maybe longer, time flies when you're a softie! I first encountered her on Nail Talk Radio where a legion of nail techs were going on and on about her Soft Landings table towels. Really, all this talk about a towel?? Well after getting to know Kathy a little more over the past several months I discovered indeed, it is not just a towel, it is a company that really cares about their customers, their "Sotfties". Kathy's husband Gary happens to be from Northeast Ohio, not too far from where I grew up and this weekend they were back in town for a Cleveland visit. The ever networking Kathy took full advantage of the opportunity to set up a mini meet and greet at a local restaurant. Weeks ahead of time she planned a get together open to any Ohio nail tech for an opportunity to meet each other and share stories, ask questions, eat great food and drink the most fabulous Pomegranate Ginger Mojitos on the planet. Good friends, good food and a great company providing the setting. It was so very nice to have the chance to chat with fellow techs, share hints and tips, photos and laughs.

There is so much more to Kathy than meets the eye. She even offered her home to a tech to come train with her nail tech for a few days. Who does that? Kathy does. She reminds me of a great business quote. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." Kathy's "softies" are her number one priority and she is constantly promoting them, encouraging them and yes teasing them. She likes to refer to me as Millie Mayhem. If you haven't had the chance to network with her tune into Nail Talk Radio and chat with her in the chat room or join the Soft Landings Group on Facebook. You'll be glad you did.
